Chiropractic care is not meant to be a painful process and we strive to be as gentle as possible. That’s why we currently have patients of all ages and stages of life.
What is Chiropractic?
Chiropractic is a holistic profession looking at how your neuromusculoskeletal system functions. That is, how your joints, muscles and nervous system function together., and when a dysfunction in this relationship occurs, how to treat that. Chiropractic aims to look at you as a whole and not just a set of symptoms.
Through treatment including the gentle realignment of spinal vertebrae and the alleviation of muscle tension, Chiropractors seek to restore optimal nervous system function. We also rectify and treat injuries to ensure your best performance at work, home and during activities. Chiropractors have a minimum 5 years tertiary qualification.
We are thorough in our history taking and examinations, to gain a better understanding of how your body is functioning. This allows us to determine what is causing your pain and symptoms, in order to provide you with the most appropriate, tailored treatment plan.
What can we help you with?

What to expect in your treatment
Please be aware that the first appointment will take a little longer than normal. Please allow 40-60 minutes so we can perform a thorough assessment.
Firstly we begin with taking a thorough history of your pain/issues, including asking many questions about the origin of the issue, any pre-existing conditions/factors that could be contributing, what symptoms/signs you are feeling and what your goals are. This detailed history is then followed up with a targeted examination of you, how your body moves, what exacerbates/relieves the pain and anything else we need to test to conduct the safest treatment we can. An explanation will be given to you about what our findings were and how we would like to use Chiropractic care to treat these issues along with any risks being explained. We will take you through every step of the treatment and explain to you the why behind it. Treatment may include Chiropractic adjustments (if we consider there to be no contraindications to treatment that would compromise your safety), various soft tissue techniques and rehabilitative exercises given.
If you have any questions during or after your appointment, please feel free to reach out to us so we can further help you.
Sports
Enhanced Performance & Recovery
Sports Chiropractic provides care which leads to optimisation of the neuromusculoskeletal system for athletes. It also offers rehabilitation of acute, subacute and chronic injuries.
Our Chiropractor Fraser takes part in post-graduate studies in many different fields of athelete/sports injury management to better help the patients we treat. We also work directly with the physical therapists in our Praxis, to better understand how we can better help you, to get you back doing what you love to do.
Our approach is multimodal, with possible treatments including one or more of:
- spinal joint manipulation or mobilisation;
- peripheral manipulation or mobilisation (e.g. ankle, knee, shoulder);
- soft tissue therapies;
- rehabilitation and other movement/corrective exercise therapies;
- strapping and bracing;
other related approaches.
Pregnancy
Pregnancy is such an exciting chapter of a females life that can come with its extra challenges on the body. With the increase in hormones that relax the joints of the pelvis, change in centre of gravity, increased weight/pressure on your spine/joints, along with the increase demands of caring for multiple young children, we can really start to feel the pressure. Chiropractic care is a safe and gentle treatment option to help you get through your pregnancy with less aches and pains by using a combination of gentle targeted chiropractic adjustments, manual manipulations, soft tissue release, balancing of the tension of the uterine ligaments and muscle strengthening/stretching given to support you at home. Post-natal care is also very important as your body makes rapid changes in the first 6 months after birth. You may have a specific issue or just require a check to ensure the additional body strain of breast feeding and pram pushing is not affecting your spine.
Paediatrics
At EO Chiropractic we treat everyone from the very start of life. After birth it’s a perfect time to check a newborn for any inbalances or issues that could be causing discomfort for the baby. After the traumatic process of being born, a check of their neuromusculoskeletal system can help with many symptoms such as feeding issues, (tongue-tie), colic-like symptoms, delay in milestones and musculoskeletal conditions such as torticollis. Chiropractic care for infants is a very gentle process using targeted manipulations with either the fingers or activator. Erin loves working with babies after treating her own baby, and working in co-operation with other health professionals to ensure optimum functioning of a baby’s nervous system
